email just received with the above title.
We’re excited to tell you that your new-and-improved IHG Rewards tier and bonus earn will be updated in your account in April! We’ll also share all the details of the new programme and perks that come with your new tier at that time.
No indication what my Spire will translate to or an actual date when it will happen. Am 1,500 qualifying points shorr of earning Spire this year as of right. Wondering of I should do a matress run next week to lock that in. (Am going to Manchester anyway so could just go a day earlier)
People on flyer talk reporting those with the US baaed premier credit card will be plat but ignoring they may have a higher status and the switch will happen the week of 11th April
So they’ve simply regurgitated their ‘announcement’ from January and provided NO information on what the benefits of these tiers shall be.
Call me cynical but I doubt that the marketing messages of “Get Ready for More” & “New Tiers = More Rewards” will prove to be true.
This restructure of their loyalty programme has been a shambles to date.
They probably don’t fully know all the information themselves yet to be able to share the good news…or any news. Still scrambling around desperately trying to agree new rewards with their properties to allow them to compete in some way with Hilton Honors, in an attempt to stop the complete free fall of their own useless and worthless rewards programme. 🙄
