Any opinions or experiences? Was covered briefly on HFP when first launched.
Premium tier seems appealing – car rental excess insurance included and no foreign currency surcharge.
Yonder card? I forgot all about that card! 😀
Is it still more London-focussed or have they ventured further afield with their offers?
I think that was the issue that some people raised when the card was first launched.
Still London focussed, and not a huge range of partners (although I understand they rotate/change from time to time).
Can probably just about make it work with time in London every 3 to 4 weeks.
It’s fairly good but the insurance isn’t needed for me as I think I’m covered about three times over with Amex platinum, and general travel insurance.
The return rate is about 2.5%. I find there to be too few venues available, often popular venues are chosen and even booking within the month is tricky. And they’re dotted around London and rarely in central. Some online redemption offers too.
Not bad overall but I’d really like an option without the insurance as I feel it’s pushing the price up unnecessarily.
I recently got the card with 3 months trial of the paid service and must say the overall experience has been smooth and enjoyable. The experiences are very London oriented but using it as an excuse to try new places. It is quite nice that when you have purchases that are eligible to be redeemed, the app makes it simple to decide to get additional points or redeem your points and offset your purchase.
Biggest appeal to me is the 0 FX fee when travelling abroad

What does this mean? Purchases that are eligible to be redeemed?

Yes, each month there is a curated selection of merchants where you can choose to earn a higher rate of return on your spend, or redeem your points for a statement credit to cover your spend.
