Wizz Air canceled flight in advance, what are my rights?

Just a quick update: won an aviation ADR case where the decision is wizzair has to pay for alternative flights with BA. Wizzair did not bother to submit any defense so the case was ruled out almost automatically. Submitted bank details to Aviation ADR last week but I guess should not hold my breast for any quick compensation.

Same here haha.

1) Wizzair cancelled flight. To be fair it is very easy using the app to book an alternative (next day)
2) Booked a hotel at the airport as cheaper than going home and back
3) As per Wizzair request, opened 2 requests: 1) compensation for cancellation 2) Hotel cost (duty of care)
4) Wizzair paid the compensation but closed the wrong request … I therefore never got the hotel money back

Had to go to ADR and send tons of info. Wizzair did nothing other than click of “we dispute the claim” button so had to follow up with more documents etc just to get ADR to decide in my favour because Wizair never replied.

Bank details have now been provided. Let’s see how long the payment takes to arrive.
