Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Where to travel to in November?

It’s that time of year again when my companion voucher is about to expire. Where would you fly to in November?

Ooh decisions, decisions! The world is your oyster in November, it’s not peak season and the weather is good in so many destinations.

For shorter flights I would go for Canaries or Madeira, longer – Caribbean/Mexico/Florida/Mauritius/Dubai. This is of course if you want sun!

If you want to go a really long way, you might get lucky with Hong Kong or Singapore, especially if you can fly from the regions.

Obviously, your main issue is going to be availability so close to your travel date; SeatSpy is your friend here.

As mentioned above that your travel date (assuming November 2023) is so close. Long haul going east is limited but not impossible I guess. We normally don’t leave till December but this year we decide to go in November for the autumn foliage in Japan. I read it is one of the best to visit Japan but not the ski resort up north.

    India?

Bahrain? You could fly out PE, back in First if dates worked.

You could try something closer to home. Vienna for the culture and food for example.

Where would I fly? Probably as far east as I could.

If you can give an estimation of what you want to spend points/cashwise and hot or cold weather? The options above are all rather good.

@GillyDee get’s my vote with India? Great time of year for India, we’re thinking of a road trip from Delhi to Kolkata via triangle and Buddhist sites as a prelude to our Thailand Xmas 25 trip.

I feel excited by it, I anticipate at least two weeks. At the end we’re just a 3.5h flight to BKK.

Bit late to find availability in November but there is a return in CW to Bangalore, albeit with 3 weeks away. From Bangalore you can drive (well be driven) to Mysore, on to Kabini and Ooty before heading to Kerala. Fly back to BLR from Kochi or Trivandrum when done and enjoy the amazing food in the city before heading home.

I would LOVE to head back to KNP (drove from NW London to Cape Town a couple of years ago in an 80 Series LC).
Sadly, my circumstances are different nowadays, so if my points are not expiring, my BA vouchers are.

2 weeks sounds good, get a comfy large vehicle, despite the improvements in the roads they can still be rough in places and you’ll be on the road around 3 hrs a day to cover the triangle and to get to Kolkata, sounds v.exciting!
