Does anyone know when the start date (to earn the 25,000 Avios) of the 3 months to spend £3k actually starts? Is it activation date? Statement dates? first spend date?
I received the card while on holiday so only activated my card on 13th April, statement date is 14th April with spend of £20 (the fee)?
My card only arrived on Saturday, original application 23rd March. I called Barclaycard a few times and was advised that it is 3 months from activation date. However, my online account account gives a date of 24th June as the date for £3k spend. I’m going to call them again today as I suspect that they have given me incorrect info over the phone. I’ve also had a statement with a £20 charge for the month when I didn’t receive my card!
I think it has been posted previously that it’s from acceptance date, which was a bit ridiculous given how delayed a lot of the cards have been. That would tie in with what’s showing on your account, @micpin.

I had the option to link my BAEC account to the Barclaycard. Once done I could see my total AVIOS

I am having exactly the same issue (AV006). Nobody at Barclays (phone nor chat) can diagnose the issue despite me asking a number of times. Would love to know if anyone has managed to get this resolved?

It starts from when you were accepted – not when your card is activated. I tried to move mine to when my card actually arrived however was told it was hardcoded into the system and could not be moved therefore I lost 2 weeks (10 working days) from my intro period…
I did however manage to get the first 20 pound monthly fee refunded.

I had the AV006 issue on the Barclays app where I have my current account as well. Downloaded the Barclaycard app and registered with the Barclaycard Avios Plus (do not use current account details), and voila, View my Avios now worked. However now you have two Barclays app on your phone.
I think I had that error message early on, along with numerous other issues with the card / account.
Most of the issues are now resolved at last.
I think the error message just fixed itself one day.
A fiasco of a card launch. The card isn’t even any better than the Amex BAPP in my opinion (and for my circumstances as someone who always travels with one other person), other than slightly better acceptance.

oh great, I solved it by registering the app again with credit card not current account as suggested and now it works, though it does not show my account number, asks me to link it to see the full balance.
Anyone else see only 25k bonus not 30k (HFP referral) on the app, will they honour it?

Yes, you will need to link your BA account with the app, and it will show your totals.
The Barclays bonus is 25k. The 5k HfP bonus is separate and has been stated in several places on the forum and in the article comments that it could take up to 60 days after the offer ended.
