I too was wondering the exact same thing, but just heard back from Rob that the HfP bonus offer is completely separate from the Barclaycard sign-up bonus.
I’ve received the 25K bonus from Barclaycard for hitting the 3K spend, and according to Rob, the 5K bonus will be added DIRECTLY to our BA accounts within the next 45 days (at the end of the offer period) – but it could be sooner than this.
He clarified that the 5K bonus is TOTALLY separate from the 25K Barclaycard offer, which explains why Barclaycard support didn’t have a clue about this when I contacted them in the chat 😀

Barclays have already paid me their own 5K and now I’m looking forward to getting the other as it tips me over a level I need to book a nice long trip.
