Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club What is a good Virgin Premium price to New York?

It’s a long time since I flew with Virgin but I’m considering Premium Economy for LHR-JFK. The flights will be late September or early October. What represents a good PE fare for this route at that time of year? Current sale fare is just under £800 which seems reasonable but I’m not sure if I could do better. Thanks.

It won’t be Virgin but try flying from MAD instead.

A good fare is £500-550 ex EU (eg. Stockholm or Germany). Add £180 APD plus the premium for flying direct & that would suggest £800 is a good price. Think I’ve seen closer to £700 at times but equally it could end up much more if you wait. PE generally sells very well to both business & leisure passengers so it never seems as good value as a good sale J fare.

Thanks for that. Mrs T would not appreciate an ex-EU adventure. PE with a points upgrade on the outward leg might be the way to go.
