Hello all,
I’ve got a booking in Z soon, and I need to cancel, I’ve called them and they’ve quoted me the cancellation fee which I’m happy (or okay with swallowing.
The issue is what will happen to my points balance when the refund posts, and before refund posts, the cash balance is £0.00 ?
I’ll have the cash balance at £0.00, and it will have just started a new statement month, I can avoid spending on the card for that next month as I won’t get any points for spending.
If the points balance (on the credit card statement) goes into negative numbers, what happens ?
Will it stay in negative numbers for the months or years to go by before it goes out of the red and into the black, or does it reset on the next statement month or even worse, do they go into your FC / Virgin Red points account and take out the amount of points that you’re in negative numbers by ?
It’s something that’s baffling me a bit, as I haven’t been in this situation before…
Anyone who can help, thanks
I had this situation back in 2021 and for several months afterwards, my Flying Club balance remained frozen (but not reduced) until (presumably, haven’t actually gotten around to checking Virgin’s maths yet) the miles being posted on credit card statement (but which weren’t flowing through to Flying Club balance) made up the shortfall.
