Forums Payment cards American Express Welcome Bonus question

  • 104 posts

I’m just cycling through the 3 cards since my 2 year gap. I’ve completed a Marriott card (now closed) and the Platinum spend requirement. Looking to move onto the BA+ card next but would like to keep my MR points alive in the medium term without the cost of the Platinum. If I apply for the Blue card I understand this will keep the MR points in my account. Will this stop me from receiving the welcome bonus on my BA+ card?

No, you’re fine. Only BAPP rule is that you haven’t had a BA Amex for 24 months.
