I bought stuff at Argos and Superdrug via the Virgin Red shopping portal in August and both items are still pending.
Is the Virgin Red shopping portal known to be so slow to get the points or am I just unlucky?
This is one thing BA does right; quick points on their shopping portal.
Do the transactions appear as pending at https://shopsaway.virginatlantic.com/en/user? If so, then they’re tracked. If not, then if you have proof of the transaction and they haven’t appeared after five days, you can contact them at https://shopsaway.virginatlantic.com/en/contact-us and they’ll raise a claim with the retailer.
Retailers are expected to respond within ninety days.
Nothing is showing there but I used the Virgin Red app and it’s showing as pending on there.
The Red website says points should attach withtin 45 days, so depending when in August you shopped and whether 45 means working days, they aren’t overdue yet.
I have made lots of purchases through the Virgin Shops away website. Lots of my purchases 25018 points are still listed as pending. I have a Hotels.Com booking listed from 11/6/23 with the stay taking place on 21/6/23 for 2410miles still pending. I have several other Hotels.com and IHG hotels listed as pending from stays in July and August which amounts to the 22018 ! I have also made several further high value purchases through the Shops away site that don’t actually register at all? I’ve rang the Virgin flying club and Hotels.com and both have told me to contact the other. Today I was on the phone to the Virgin Flying Club for 20 minutes without success, I was eventually put on hold and then they hung upon me. I’ve tried the above link, it doesn’t allow me to complete my email address on the form so I can’t press continue? I’ve tried on my Mac and my wife’s Microsoft computer. How do I get my missing pending points and the additional points not even listed as pending which must be another 5000-10000 miles ?
Has anyone got any more recent ‘data points’ on how quickly points show as pending and then post?
I’ve recently signed up for Virgin Red for the Tesco auto conversion bonus. Only planning on collecting a few points here and there (to eventually use on a Eurostar voucher so haven’t bothered signing up for a Virgin Atlantic FF account) when the retailer isn’t on the BA shopping portal/has a rubbish collection rate.
I have an Argos purchase I made about 10 days ago via the Virgin Red app that isn’t even showing as pending. By comparison the train ticket I bought last month via the Virgin trains ticketing app showed the points within about three days. Is this normal or has the Argos shop not tracked for whatever reason?
Different retailers have different times. Trains used to be 90 days (from memory), it’s only relatively recently it’s switched to just a few days.
Argos is showing as 45 days to credit, it should be pending “usually” after five working days. If your ten days includes two weekends, it might start to show next week.
@phantomchickenz Thanks, I’ll sit tight and hope it shows as pending this week or next then. If no joy then I’ll follow up
I have some transactions from Sainsbury’s which haven’t cleared yet and have been pending since April. Obvs that’s over two months ago so kinda wondering how long it will take.
Interestingly all the supermarkets seem to have been removed from Shops Away, hopefully that’s not the reason it’s taking so long.
