Today, trying to order duty free for in-flight delivery for 5th December via the Virgin Retail Therapy shop, fulfilled by 3Sixty.
The flight search was not bringing up ANY flights for that date so I phoned them to be told their contract is ending so there will be no pre-orders available, I presume from the start of the month.
Nothing of course mentions this on the VA or Retail website though I am not sure how well used pre-ordering is so maybe not many people will notice.
Pity though as I found it useful and not at the mercy of what has been loaded onto a flight, and currently 4x Virgin points for any purchases including tobacco.
Hopefully they will relaunch something eventually!
Oh yes the crew told me this last weekend, that in flight shopping is being removed and not returning till at least June 2025. I said that in that case they ought to have stuck a catch-all discounton the shopping brochure but failing that, I’d be happy to consider a personalised discount. They said no discount; I said no shopping.
