Hello,
More than ten weeks ago, got left stranded in NYC by virgin for 24hours where they rebooked me to a flight with KLM adding a layover in Amsterdam AND losing my luggage for 6 weeks+ in the process. I’ve used the email address they gave me to claim my EU-261 compensation as well as claim hôtel and meals that occurred for the extra days.
I got one response saying they will look at it within 28days and then nothing at all (despite several subsequent emails). Should I just go straight for remediation at this point ? Am I entitled to some extra compensation as well ? I don’t really care but their complete lack of response is a bit disrespectful in my opinion…

Submit another brief email containing “Letter before Legal Action” in the title, and inform them of your intention to pursue legal action if no satisfactory response received within (say) 14 days. Point out failure to adhere to their own 28 day deadline and request that your correspondence be forwarded to the company’s legal department.
