Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors Las Vegas Hilton hotels – any off-strip recommendations?

I need to be in Vegas July 14-16 and prices are pretty high for the places I`ve used before. Does anyone use any Hiltons that are slightly less central but not too far from The Strip to miss out on the main action? Thank you.

No idea about pricing but there is a grand vacations next door to the Flamingo which is pretty central.

Thank you. It is pretty awful unfortunately.

I suggest Home2 South if you’re not bothered about the casino experience. Convenient for parking, airport, regular eating and mall, ju,p on bus down the strip if required.

There’s 4 Grand Vacations in LV. I stayed at the GV Strip and the Club Paradise one a few years ago. Both were non-casino, non smoking properties. Prices will vary wildly for Hilton depending what’s on in town and also your check in and check out dates. I saved hundreds by switching in the middle of my stay.

The strip one is next door to Circus Circus so you can walk to the main strip area in 30 mins or so, or Uber/Lyft/Bus.

Not sure what your budget or points pot is looking like, but we stayed at Resorts World last year on a 5 nights for 4 points booking. No resorts fee with points and although a little out of the strip central vicinity, it is a fabulous hotel. It has 3 Hiltons on the property. I’d recommend that if you can make it work.

Surely you have enough curiosity to stretch to checking out at least one of the 3 options at the shiny new(ish) Resorts World?

The WA used to be a Mandarin Oriental so is a pretty decent spec option too.

The Grand Vacations properties are all meh but the one round the back of Planet Ho on Harmon is well located and acceptable.

If you’re looking for cheap and well located, then the Tropicana is on-strip and often dirt cheap. There’s a reason for that of course.

But this is Vegas. Pricing can be all over the place depending on what’s on in different parts of the strip, even for different but nearby properties, or for individual dates, so hunting around and flexibility is your friend.
