Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Using VS miles on SQ metal

    Hi all

Does anyone have any experience of booking SQ flights through flying club?

In theory I should be able to book a 787-10 flight (regional) in business using my VS miles, as this isn’t on the excluded list, however I wondered if that is actually possible in practice?

    Many thanks.

Call and ask. Give the SQ flight numbers, and see. Calls answered quickly, of late.

SQ doesn’t release premium cabins on long haul to it’s partners. Can only be booked through Krisflyer.

    From VS website:

    Important information regarding redemption bookings
Due to specific Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore’s (CAAS) requirements, there are still some restrictions around booking redemptions on Singapore Airlines. Unfortunately, not all routes are available at this time. Existing tickets will be handled in accordance with current border restrictions and CAAS transit approvals. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Redemptions on the following flights are now enabled:
    Frankfurt – New York
    Taipei – Los Angeles
    Tokyo (Narita) – Los Angeles
    Hong Kong – San Francisco
    Rome – Copenhagen
    Manchester – Houston

Please note: We do advise that you should always refer and adhere to prevailing border restrictions and government regulations on travel to the relevant countries.

Manchester-Houston is now available, but Manchester – Singapore not? Did anyone manage to successfully redeem VS on SQ even in Y ? from Europe to SIN?

This recent article (about Virgin Australia) states that it’s possible to fly SQ in all classes using Virgin Australia points. It would seem that it’s Virgin Atlantic that stops us using their miles in SQ premium classes.
