Using Avios to book Bangkok Airways via Qatar Airways

Hi

If I link my BA account to QR and then transfer points over to QR so that I can book bangkok airways flights on Bangkok airways domestic services within Thailand , is baggage included does anyone know ? Also how long does it take to hear back from QR as to whether the flights can / are booked as I believe you have to submit a request for such flights on the QR website

Looks like even the cheapest cash fares include 20kg bag allowance. But best to check with Qatar directly.

I did a redemption via QR last year and it included 20kg luggage. They took about a day to get back to me, and the taxes/charges were low. Search via the Qantas website to find availability before submitting a booking request.

20kg and can take upto 4/5 days for them to get back to you.
Also checking on Qantas didnt work for me, in a sense on Qantas it had availability but QR didn’t.
You get a quickest response calling but beware you will be on the phone about 15mins.

Just state you want to book / check reward partner flight availabilty for XYZ. Be specific though with dates gets a quicker response.

There is also a live chat function on the QR app, on which they are very quick to respond.
