Forums Payment cards Barclaycard Avios Using 2 vouchers with linked booking to get BA Silver benefits

  • 14 posts

My partner and I have one BA Barclays Cabin Upgrade Voucher each (earned from the Barclays bank account not the Mastercard). My partner is BA Silver. Is it possible to make 2 new bookings but linked somehow, so that both bookings can benefit from my partners BA silver benefits (eg seat selection / baggage allowance). Can it be done online or via call centre? I am 3rd party nominee on my partners account if that helps.
    Thanks alot

I don’t think this will be possible. You could make 2 x one way bookings with you both on instead, depends on the route you’ve in mind how much of an impact this will have on the taxes and charges

Scrap that as they need to be used ex-UK! Don’t think there is a solution to this unfortunately

They’ll need to be separate bookings but how much luggage do you need?! You’ll have 1 x Silver allowance plus 1 x the standard (which will be a lot as presumably you’ll be in PE or J) so unless you’re emigrating you should be fine lol. If you’re upgrading to PE, your partner can guest you into the lounge. You might have to pay for seating if you’re desperate to sit together but partner will get it free, as you say.

Thanks all. I was mainly thinking of the seat selection. More valuable if J (old Club World seat) on a A380/787. Less so Club Suite I guess. I’ve found recently booking early to get availability, some equipment swaps have gone against me. Seat selection has been useful then. Thanks.
