I have a SAS airlines flight that was cancelled. The replacement flight they have given is SAS ARN – LHR and then BA LHR – MXP. I urgently need to know whether you’d have to collect and re-check bags as I can’t get hold of the airline to ask, and I can’t find an answer anywhere. (Ignoring the fat that LHR can’t cope with bags at the moment anyway!). Does anyone have any experience of this and know the answer??
Many Thanks
I cannot confirm as I don’t have Expertflyer access but assuming it is on one ticket then I’d be astounded if your luggage could not be through checked. You need to find out if SAS have a current interline agreement with BA.
According to this flyertalk post, they did a couple of years ago (you can see BA listed in the interline partners.
