    Hi folks,

    I’ve been waiting for Barclays upgrade voucher to land in my BA account so I can book some flights. My member year ended 19 Oct and the Barclays app is saying voucher will be transferred in 5 working days.

    5 days later, it’s still not there. Is this normal? Who do I call to chase – is it Barclays or BA?

    By coincidence was going to do a search of the forums this morning on this – the same issue for my OH. Voucher should have been over by Thursday/Friday but nothing…

    You would have to start with Barclays, as BA will just say they haven’t received it and require you to get Barclays to confirm it has been actioned on their side.

    However are you talking about the Premier current account with Avios rewards or the Avios credit card? There is a bug in the app with the former in that it says the voucher will be awarded after 12 months membership, when it is actually after 12 months AND 12 monthly payments which may be later in the first year.

    Never had a problem with the credit card vouchers appearing the next day when triggered, so if from there it may be a more general problem.

    @AndrewT sounds like for the OP it’s the Premier current account, but for me (well OH) it’s the credit card. Unless I have completely misunderstood and assumed it was like the Amex Companion voucher coming over straight away but it’s not? OH is 4 months in to membership year, has spent the £10k, option to downgrade to the free card appeared so redeemed the reward and was waiting for the voucher to appear in BA account before downgrading. App says reward is redeemed, but nothing in the BA account. Now the option in the app to downgrade to free has also disappeared annoyingly. I suppose will get in touch with Barclaycard on Monday…

    Exactly the same issue for me (Barclays credit card). Redeemed on 17 Oct (so, now 6 working days ago) and nothing has yet landed in my BAEC account. Intend to contact Barclaycard on Monday.

    This is the anniversary reward on the premier current account. This is my 2nd year of using the account. When you say 12 payments – what do you mean? Payments from/to where?

    I’m in the same boat, waiting on both my premier voucher and my avios MasterCard voucher, both triggered within days of each other. I’ll contact Barclays on Monday as last year they both appeared immediately so I am sensing a bug.

    Same for me…

    Premier Annual Upgrade Voucher issued on the 14th Oct, and still not in my BAEC. Spoke to Barclays on the 23rd, promised it would be with me by the 25th which didn’t happen.

    Will follow up on Monday.

    Oh dear sounds like Barclaycard have a glitch somewhere then. Hopefully fixed after the numerous calls they will be receiving on Monday!

    I hope you all have better luck than me, I have just spent 90 mins on 3 calls with no success. I called Barclays, they say they issued the vouchers and to call BA, I called BA and they say they can’t see them so they need the ‘certificate number’ from Barclays, I called Barclays again and they can’t see the certificate numbers so have had to raise an internal ticket in the form of a complaint to try and get them for me…..

    Could someone who has successfully received a Barclaycard Upgrade Voucher let me know how the existence of the voucher shows in my BAEC account. Does it show as a “1” (as opposed to a “0”) in my dashboard?

    Same for me. Barclays claim it was transferred on 26th Oct and said to call BA. BA don’t want to know. I’ll give it another couple of days to see if it shows up. Let me know it the Barclays complaints process gets you anywhere

    Yes. When you log in you’ll see “Executive Club Vouchers” with a number next to it. Should be 1 if you have 1 voucher. If you click the link it’ll take you to a page listing all your current, used and expired vouchers

    @LouiseL I’ve tried a different tack – by using the Barclaycard chat function. The chat agent confirmed that the voucher has been issued but I’ve have come up against the same brick wall – “you need to contact BA team to get this resolved.” So, I guess my next approach is to contact BAEC. Will report back.

    Update – So I’ve now spoken to BAEC Customer Support who have told me they can’t do anything towards tracing the voucher without a Barclaycard Transaction number. So, stalemate! Any suggestions on how I should proceed?

    Had a call back from the Barclays complaints team who upheld my complaint (still no voucher issued).

    Long and short, and a very honest answer, the certificate numbers (so I was told) were limited to 4 digits, and when the last voucher was issued (9999), everything broke – I kid you not. I was told a fix should be in place this week.

    Why does that not surprise me! I got one very recently, it must have been getting on for 9999 😂

    Next we’ll find out it’s all logged in an Excel spreadsheet! 😆

    OH has no immediate plans for the voucher so will just hold tight until Barclaycard reset their abacus

    I’ll see what response I get from my complaint, I’m interested to see whether they own up to this or fob me off.
    I’m owed two and am waiting to use one so I’m pretty miffed about the delay!

    whoever implemented that system should be held full accountable, what an utter shambles. 4 digits, pathetic.
    They should be given lashings in Terminal 5.

    Me too. I’ve been waiting to book a fairly in demand route and fully expect the seats to have gone by the time Barclays get their act in order. Also logged a complaint.

    My Barclays vouchers have disappeared from view since earning an amex voucher. They are still on the account but the only way I’ve found to see them is by going to account “home” on a desktop. Might be worth checking there?

    The issue isn’t finding the vouchers Zio, it’s a Barclays IT issue that a few of us are being impacted by.
