Good morning. I need to cancel a BA cash only flight from MLE on Thursday. When I try to do so on the website I am unable to as it tells me I have made a travel agent booking – I did not, I booked online. As I
m currently in MLE Im really not keen on telephoning BA about this – does anyone have any clever ideas as to how I might resolve this please?Not a resolution sorry, but I have the same issue with one of my bookings – definitely not travel agency booked. I was just wanting to look out of interest the cost of cancellation, so didn’t follow through any further. But maybe there’s a bug in their system (or atleast one more of many!)

Not sure why you’re getting the message about the travel agent but for some time now BA has only allowed cancellations by phone (unless they have cancelled your flight). The only other option is a FTV, or e-voucher which you would probably get for a cash flight. Was it a flexible fare though – I thought most cash bookings were non-refundable anyway (expect for a voucher)?
Thank you for your reply LL. It transpires that my error was clicking on “go back to previous design” – not doing so got me straight through to the voucher request page.
I hate that new design, really don’t know why companies change something that is perfectly fine just for the sake of changing it.

Can you not call BA for free using Skype over wifi, or have they disconnected the freephone numbers? The US number on BA.com is supposedly free too
