Has anyone recently received the AVIOS Plus card and unable to get it verified on Curve Card app?

I have used the new received card in store for shopping and pay with pin entering at the counter. But still Curve app doesn’t let me to add the AVIOS plus card, shall I make contact with customer services from Curve or Barclaycard? Thank you.

Barclaycard so they can activate it on their end, something to do with card verification online

If you are on the basic plan it has now been reduced to 2 underlying card slots. Unbeknownst to me an old expired card was still on there taking up the second slot.. Deleting that card allowed me to add BC+ immediately. Verification may require BC App but the authorisation appears in the notifications section not as a pop up like other fintech apps. A bit convoluted. Realised this morning still need to use as chip and pin to activate contactless. But not sure this would have any effect on using it via Curve.

    Quick Update:
I have been trying to contact Barclay’s customer services for the last three days, and every time they just couldn’t solve the issue for me and tried to push me to Paypal / Curve and insisted the issue is with the other side.
Then I found from the Curve card community forum that some AVIOS+ card holders have similar issues as well, they mentioned that it needs to ask for Barclay’s “Fraud Team” customer service to investigate this as there are something to do with the 2FA (2 factors authentication) system, which the normal customer services wouldn’t be able to check.

I made another call this afternoon, and tried to explain this whole lot to the customer service lady again. Finally managed to be transferred to the fraud team. Everything works fine now. I can add the card to Curve and Paypal with no issues. Happy day!
