I want to transfer c. 15k virgin points from her flying club to mine. We are both red tier members.
Is the only option to pay the £10 fee?
I recall hearing about a virgin family account that may be another option.
Household account will only pool points from some sources and only those earned in the future
Unless you get a friendly (or forgetful) person on the end of the phone
You need status for a family account. it seems £10 is the only option. Ideally it works online, but it didn’t for me, so I had to call which started another drama of customer service incompetence.
I think the new family account doesnt require status
Yes, £10. It should work easily online. I did it to transfer points to my wife and also to a son who wanted to book a flight. They need to have a flying club membership account themselves already but it all went find for me.
Remember no need to really transfer if they are travelling with you as you can just book 2 or more seats yourself with the points for those others flying at the same time.
