    Has anyone managed to transfer bonvoy points from/to a new account (less than 30 days with qualifying activity)?

    Made a new account to convert MR to bonvoy for a redemption. Booked a room successfully for myself and then wanted to transfer remainder of points to my brother but looking at the rules I have to phone up and cannot transfer unless account is 30 days with qualifying activity (which I believe the transfer of MR points to bonvoy counts as qualifying activity). Between us we have enough points at current rates but don’t really want to wait 30 days due to dynamic pricing. Has anyone managed to get around this? Is Marriott flexible at all with this?

    Went through this with family members. Not flexible. Open account immediately. Wait 30 days. And yes, contrary to what caller said transfer of MR points counts as activity. Points take around 4/5 hours to transfer across.
