if one was in need of 100-200 tier points to attain status is there good feasible options to earn based on short haul trips with partners etc or would it have to be long haul on VS metal? perhaps via a redemption etc if not cash ticket.
KLM / AF / AirEuropa (especially) are good if you connect to somewhere in business. Barcelona, for example, would net you 160 TPs with AirEuropa in business. I snagged Barcelona for £350 last year
Any idea how many TPs with KLM economy or business for GLA/AMS/MUC?
Business: 40 TPs per leg (J,C,D,I,Z)
Economy: 10 TPs Per leg (Y, B, M, P, F, D, Q, U, K ,L, E, G, S, H, T, N, R, V)To, 160 Business, or 40 Economy return
Some points:
(1) Generally, if you’re not going to find use for the status, don’t spend the time attaining it.
(2) Only TPs on VS metal count toward lifetime status.
(3) Try booking through Propeller Travel – they’re great at this, and can often provide outstanding value.
(4) AFKL have some great ways to earn, but also look at AM or DL, too. The earning charts for each are on VS.com.Interesting! Some good advice in there.
