So I have got a holiday flight returning from Las Vegas in premium economy worth 90 tier points for the return leg. Could someone please confirm my understanding:
If I upgrade to club world using cash I will get 140 tier points for this flight instead
If I upgrade using avios I won’t get any additional tier points, but will retain the original 90
Is that right? Also, would it make any difference if the upgrade was done ahead of time or at the airport on the day? I would imagine theres a fair chance that any additional avios on the cash upgrade at the airport just get lost.
