Thoughts / recommendations on best redemption options for 77,664 Amex points

Hi all, I recently closed my AMEX Preferred Rewards Gold card as I wasn’t using it any more and didn’t want to pay the annual fee. I now have 77,664 AMEX points that I need to transfer out of the account by the end of the week otherwise I will lose them.
I have a lot of Avios points currently, and have my flights booked for the rest of the year, so instead of transferring to Avios I am considering transferring to a hotel. I’m new to hotel rewards schemes and I am thinking of transferring to either Hilton Honors or Marriot Bonvoy for use in a trip to Japan (hopefully) later this year.
I’ve been reading lots of articles about the best schemes to transfer to and they all appear to be roughly the same.
Just wanted to throw it out here to the community to see if you have any thoughts, experiences, or recommendations on hotel reward transfers as I am genuinely interested to hear!

Unless you’re wanting to restart the clock so you can get another bonus why don’t you just get the free Amex MR rewards card. You can then get them transferred to that and there’s no pressure. You can also keep collecting and make use of Amex Offers
