I’m looking to book for next Summer and if I’m lucky I can grab the available seats when they load in a couple of weeks time.
My question is that if I make two separate bookings then I’m going to get stung for an extra bundle of money for taxes.
Clearly I can’t book the return as it won’t load until it’s time for that so my question(s) are
1. If I call to book the return leg can the agent make it into a Return booking instead of two one ways?
2. If I need to split between Upper & Premium is there any way I can do this other than calling?
3. Am I right in thinking that 5/6am is when the seats go live?
4. Best number to call on if needs be?
I’m sure that others must have faced this excitement in the past, can’t wait for the kids to be out of school holiday times !
If you call, Virgin will re-calculate the taxes.

Perfect many thanks, I did try a search but will try harder, much appreciated
One important thing. When you book the Outbound (as a one way) you MUST tell the agent that you will be phoning back for the return flight when it becomes available and make sure he/she makes a note of it on your “file”. And yes the seats become available at 5am UK time. As for the phone number it’s the one on their site no special number I am aware of.

Good to know, many thanks
1. Yes. They will add the second sector on to the existing PNR after recalculating the taxes. Usually, they do this on the phone but complex itineraries might need some manual effort to be done, after which they’ll call you back.
2. Yes. It’s a multi-cabin booking. The website lets you do this, but they’ll be happy to do it on the ‘phone, too. Inquire, as well, about same cabin both ways, as you might find the pricing works in your favour.
