After applying on launch day, and being told I would hear back with a decision within 5 days, almost 2 months later Barclaycard have still not provided me with a decision. Over 5 weeks after making a complaint they still haven’t responded to it and are “working on it”. This is a complete shambles. They have carried out a hard search which shows on my report shortly after I applied.
Is anyone else in the same boat and is there anything anybody would recommend to speed things along and at least get a yes or no decision?
I’d try again, using a different bank account, putting you’d like the card to do a balance transfer and a lower salary and see what happens?
There are multiple reports of applications in the sun-forum of folk being denied putting down Barclays premier account, having the card for everyday spending and high/6-figure salaries being reasons for being unsuccessful.
