Forums Frequent flyer programs Other frequent flyer schemes Star Alliance calculating miles

I’m flying Zurich to Bangkok first class with a code of F on my email ticket confirmation through Lufthansa and then Bangkok to Singapore with a code of Z. I’m joining the Turkish Smiles and Miles programme and used Owenrudge.net calculator. It gave me 977 miles for the long distance first class flight and 1350 for the shorter business flight. Any ideas on how can this be.

    Thanks in advance.

What on earth is owenrudge? Clicking on that shows he does a load of ancient software blogs and utils. I dont see a calculator

Wheretocredit gives 200% and 135% of flown miles respectively, should be 11251 and 1188

You haven’t said what airlines you are flying but when I enter LX and SQ it gives a sensible result of 11246 and 1320, I don’t know what you entered.

In Star the booking class depends on the operating airline, and if your ticket has codeshare flights the booking class shown on the ticket will be the marketing airline’s, which is different and the mapping is unpublished. But LH F is very likely to map to LX F.

gcmap.com is also useful for true mileage (sometimes true mileages are fudged by airlines though)

I find this site produces perfect results for what to expect from United for *A and partner flights https://pqp.economiles.com/

Yeah but the OP wanted it in Turkish Smiles, not United (recently devalused by 30% 🙁 )

I know. Just adding to the collective knowledge on *A. United’s only value to me is transferring to Marriott 1-1 basis with 10K bonus every time I hit 60K.
