Forums Frequent flyer programs Other frequent flyer schemes Singapore Airlines – Krisflyer false advertising

I’m creating this topic as firstly I’d like to see if anyone else has had the same issue. Secondly to see if there is a way to resolve the issue without going to small claims court.
As you can tell from the heading of the topic I’m writing about Singapore Airlines and their reward scheme Krisflyer.
I’ve been a member of Krisflyer for almost 2yrs. During that time I’ve tried to find ways of earning more Krisflyer points apart from the normal way. One of the ways is by earning points by using hotel booking site Agoda in partnership with Singapore Airlines.
In the T&C’s of the offer, the only way of getting reward points is by using the designated link on the krisflyer webpage. On this link it states in black and white, that you can earn points with EVERY booking.
So, at the beginning of last year I started using the link to book hotel stays.
By the end of the year I’d been on holiday 3-4 times and booked the majority of my hotels through the Agoda link on the Krisflyer site. However, I wasn’t rewarded for any of the bookings.
I waited and waited and waited, but got nothing.
Realising I wasn’t going to get rewarded, I contacted Singapore Airline in January and sent an email showing all the bookings and all the money I’d spent on those bookings.
I’ve contacted Singapore/Krisflyer several times and get told it will be sorted out. I ask for call backs but never get them.
Its now JULY, 7 months on from my initial contact.

    How can I resolve this?

Has anyone else had this issue?

@picturepaint how come you haven’t contacted Agoda – they are the ones that award the points and their customer service is excellent.

Thanks, I’ll give them a go too.

Yes nothing to do with SQ, Agoda buys the points from them and awards them

Do note that usually you’re paying higher rates through those links so if you’re paying for your own stays you might be better off without doing it – usually best rates I find are via tripadvisor or the app
