We have decided to stop flying Virgin after our 3 trips this year – the hassle of trying to book cruises at best rates while being restricted by stupid new points requirements with Virgin don’t make for an enjoyable experience.
We will have 150,000 points and 2 vouchers left.
Is it possible to SELL these to someone else (even taking into account any charge for transferring points) ???
The points can be transferred (sold) for a flat fee of £10.
If Rob allows, please email me to discuss. (London based)
I don’t think you can transfer the vouchers. They must be used where you will be the passenger and reward bookings must be done over the phone.
I would be surprised if Rob helped you sell, it’s a violation of the Virgin scheme rules.
What isn’t a violation of the rules is sending the unused miles to Hilton Honors. You can use these without flying with Virgin again. The vouchers are at this point useless, of course.
You could also ask friends/relatives if they would like you to book a ticket for them. With dynamic pricing this is much easier than before. They may generously offer to give you a gift in return.
To reiterate selling miles is not allowed.
There a numerous ways to use these points via Virgin Red inclding buying wine and train tickets.
Like noted above, you can’t sell but you can gift points and if you’re a silver member you can gift the companion voucher.
If you do happen to be silver member and are in a generous mood, I’d happily take the voucher! 😉
As for the points, there’s lots of ways you can redeem them, so I would keep hold for now.
The points can be transferred (sold) for a flat fee of £10.

The voucher can be used for anyone and not necessary for the voucher holder to travel. But ofcourse the voucher holder needs to book from their account
As MrSJ mentioned above, the vouchers do appear to be giftable if you’re Silver or Gold (https://flywith.virginatlantic.com/sa/en/flying-club/spend-points/reward-flights/reward-vouchers.html).

Can I gift my voucher?
If you’re a Silver or Gold Flying Club member, you can gift your vouchers to other Flying Club members. You don’t need to be flying with them.
The recipient of the gifted voucher just needs to be a Flying Club member (in any tier), and the voucher value depends on the recipient’s tier at the time of redemption.
To gift a voucher, contact the Customer Centre on 0344 412 2414.
If you have multiple vouchers on your account, we’ll gift the one with the earliest expiry date. If you’d like to use another voucher, let our customer team know.

If the Virgin rules allow us to make arrangements with others on the voucher/s (not the points) then I’d be interested in chatting.
