Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points
Hi there,
I am filing a section 75 for a transaction, however when using the online portal (Barclaycard) it says
Your transaction is too old to dispute online. Please contact us by calling Customer Services where one of our advisors will be available to help you 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Before I call, is there anyone that has experience over the telephone?
I have already prepared a detailed word document and have proof of purchases for a service not delivered and multiple attempts to contact retailer.
@carlos there is usually a deadline of six months for a chargeback (which is probably what you are encountering) but there is no such deadline for s75.
I filled in that form and submitted all the evidence as required by post. The response was number of txts followed by a docusign request for a S75 form with boxes that required me to explain all over again but was too small for the explanation, and upload buttons that wouldnt let me send all the docs I’d sent previously.
The decision letter stated that I there was no evidence to support my claim and it was rejected. So they hadnt married up the original postal form and evidence I’d sent with the docusign form.
It’s an incredibly poor system.
Now I have a reference number on the S75 rejection letter I have to submit it all again by post and ask them to reopen the case.

so the system doesnt specify if I want to open up a chargeback or a section 75 claim (however as its a credit card and valued £890 its the latter). I have to phone them which will be longer (as I have all evidence on pdf and a covering letter which spans a page or two)

horrible experience, is that barlcaycard?
I know the amex experience is pretty good, i did it for an airline and they were super responsive – it worked in my favour too but since they allowed me to rebook it was quashed.
Stupid spam filter is blocking double quoted replies again.
Yes that is Barclaycard.
Thanks, just found out you can do it via an online form.
Still waiting for the email to submit evidence – not instantaneous for sure or in spam filters
Any idea on how long it takes to come?

After I sent the paper form in I got confirmation txts then a txt to say I’d be getting something via email (the docusign one) that took 2 days to arrive,
I completed it a couple of days later (they give you five days to do it) but by then i’d got a letter and a txt telling me I needed to submit more info but didnt tell me what or how. It was and still is a shambles.
