If you take an FTV for an Avios redemption does it secure your paid for seat selection or do you lose it?
Thank you.
It is in the BA help pages:
What happens if you’ve paid extra for seating or baggage?
If you’ve paid extra for seating, the value will be included with your Future Travel Voucher and the amount paid can be used towards the value of a new booking.
So, presumably, the amount you paid for the seat is just combined into the total cash portion of the FTV. When you book the new flight, you can add avios or cash, or if it is ‘cheaper’ in both categories, you will get the balance refunded.
