Can you help with my problem. My husband & I both have Executive accounts and combined avios on a household account, my account has 300k + my husband has 100k + I booked a rewards flight DOH-MEL for Jan 26. I got a booking reference but when the BA verification came up it was my husbands email that appeared and not mine. The booking was cancelled because I presume he didn’t have enough air miles in his pot. But I booked it from my pot of 300k, have you any idea what the issue might be. We each have separate linked Privilege rewards apps so why does it revert back to my husband’s Exec account. Any help would be much apppreciated. Is it because my husband is the main account holder on the household account? I can think that is the only reason.

BTW this was a Qatar flight booked through Privelege rewards.
If you booked this from your Qatar account, the avios should have been taken from your BAEC account; your husband’s account shouldn’t come into it. It’s a bit confusing though, as you would not need a BA verification to do this.
I’m no IT expert, but on a desktop or laptop there can sometimes be cookie issues with BAEC, but I haven’t known this to affect QR.
Have you tried booking via the QR app? Also, have you re-checked availability, in case the seats had already been taken by someone else before your payment could be processed?
I’m not sure I understand exactly what you want to do – are you trying to book two tickets, and is 300k avios enough?
Your husband’s 100k is irrelevant if you only want to use your 300k. In this case, I’ve posted about this before and the solution for me was just to move the avios from BA to QR. Then book directly from QR’s website.
