Due to fly back from US tomorrow on KLM using Virgin miles. Just been informed of cancellation and can rebook to fly Sunday.
What are my rights re compensation and duty of care?
Usual rights- duty of care applies and compensation if it isn’t exceptional circumstances e.g weather
Have you spoken to KLM? I’d be surprised if there wasn’t an option to get you back tomorrow indirectly
It’s certainly the night for it! If you’re happy to fly back on Sunday, KLM are responsible for your accommodation and meals until then. Compensation will depend on why the flight was cancelled. There’s a lot more info in the “delays and cancellations” section on making claims.
An issue with the plane is odds on down to the airline
