Am due to fly back from HKT to LHR via DOH on 4th of April, QR flights with BA flight numbers as part of a BA Holiday.
Got an email this morning that the HKT-DOH flight (BA7012/QR841) has been rescheduled and now arrives at 02:20, with the onward leg still departing at 01:55.
Anyone have any experience of whether QR/BA will pick up on this and move us to a later flight, or will I need to chase it up? I would have expected it to have been automatically picked up but the QR app shows a connection time of -25 minutes.
Have you checked in MMB as to whether it will let you pick a new flight?
No option on BA site, and QR site says changes not allowed (Presumably as booked via BA).
Look at the schedules work out what other flight you want on BA or QR or anyone else, and call BA as your ticketing airline to sort it.
Qatar Airways seems to have a habit of turning sbort connections in the middle of the night in Doha, to 7-9 hour or even longer connections after the passenger has booked.
Give it a couple of days to see if the BA bots pick up the impossible connection. It also allows for the schedule to settle back down.
It’s been known for someone to spot it, call in and rebook only to find that the new flight is also rescheduled whereas if they had waited the options were clearer.
From my experience, flights booked with BA Holidays were never automatically rebooked, they either contacted me or I had to call them.
