Refund options if BA have cancelled both flights and proposed unsuitable ones

Both outbound and return of RFS have now been cancelled and advised that we can rebook on alternate flights (that don’t suit). Would like to fully cancel for refund (have option of voucher or refund), but wanted to check before I click – would the refund be full for cash with points returned, or would I lose points/cash/both?

If you’re not interested in re-routing you can get a full refund of avios and cash and you should be able to do this online via MMB (one of the few instances!) You’ll get a confirmation message when you choose a refund instead of a voucher.

Have pivoted on where we will be holidaying based on entry requirements now, so not interested in rerouting.
