My Companion Voucher has hit my BA account but I`ve just had a significant refund that takes me under the spend threshold. Is this a problem? Thanks.
Nope.
You’ll keep your voucher but will have a negative Avios balance on your Amex card and points earned will be deducted from this until you start seeing them transferred over again.
You may also find that the amount of the refund is added on to the spend required to trigger next year’s voucher.
If it’s a significant amount, might be better cancelling the card, wait a bit, get re referred for a new card. Then you start the clock again for a new voucher, maybe?
