Referral bonuses on BA cards

Hi,

My wife’s free BA card has an offer (limited time) of 10k avios when referring friends. Does anybody know if it’s a generic offer, and they would have something similar on the BAPP instead of the usual 9k? Just wondering if it’s worth upgrading before applying with her link. I tried to search but couldn’t find anything mentioned about it anywhere.
