Hiya.
I travelled with 5 others from Belfast to London on a school trip. The flight from Belfast was cancelled (twice) so BA at Belfast rerouted us via Manchester. When we arrived in Manchester they told us that we didn’t have seats on the flight to London, but after an hour of them contacting London all was sorted and we flew.
Sadly, a day or two later, BA took over £2500 from the school credit card – I can only assume that we were reticketed and charged for the MAN-LON flights. I’ve been onto BA *many* times on the phone – but I am just being told that a back office team is looking into it. My school are understandably keen to get the money back and are pressuring me to sort this out. The tickets were booked under my account, but with their money, so BA won’t talk to them.
If I don’t get answers what should my next move be?
There is a user BA Refund Helper on flyertalk. I’d sign up there and send them a private message
Otherwise your school should do a chargeback
How long ago was this? If more than a couple of weeks, definitely open a dispute with the credit card. You will probably need to upload all the documentation in relation to the cancellations and re-booking, so make sure you hang on to all communications.
