We are planning to take a Halloween half term week long family break with two young kids (starts 29 october) from belfast. I have a fair amount of avios points and two 241 vouchers to use. I understand we would have to go via London but can’t seem to find really good flights with BA to destinations which are likely to be reasonably warm at the time. We don’t want to go to far so was thinking of turkey or the canaries, but open to other suggestions.Pretty limited options close that time of year. Dubai is probably one of the closest of you want warmth over and above what you have said.
Not sure about Malta how warm it would be then.
You cant use the 2-4-1s but I see Aer Lingus have a flight from Dublin to Tenerife on a Sunday. There are currently 4 avios seats available on each leg and you’d need for 17k points and £50 cash.
Given those seats are currently on sale for around £500, you’re getting 2.5p per mile – and avoiding the uncertainty of Heathrow…
