Hi,
This is (fortunately) the first time this has happened to me, so I’m unfamiliar with the finer details! We were removed from our LHR-CPT flight last night as the aircraft was leaking fuel. They put us up in the T5 Sofitel (which I’ve always wanted to try, so no worries there) and the flight is rescheduled for 19.00 today. My question is really about the new departure time. We only live half an hour from T5 so would prefer to go home for the day; is there any chance that the new time of 19.00 could change or be brought forward? Or is it now pretty much set in stone as if it were a regular flight?
Actually, there is another question; do we need to check in again? I know it sounds simple, but I can’t find the answer anywhere.
Thanks,
Peter
It won’t change drastically now so you can go home (as I’m sure many others did!)
I believe you need a new BP as T5 doesn’t usually allow readmittance with the same BP under any circumstance because of the “ready to fly” system they have. It’s possible that they’ll have a specific desk for this flight so check the screens/with staff at T5 when you get back before you go to security
