Hello
I’m trying to book a miles redemption flight on Virgin. It shows availability and then gives me the option to select the outbound flight. When I go to select the inbound flight it says full up despite the calendar saying there’s availability. Anyone else had this? TIA
It’s never happened to me, but I infrequently redeem on Virgin. I’d you could provide date and route details someone might be able to check.
Thank you. Flying to New York 22/23 June. Coming back 2/3/4 July
Thanks.
to LHR? There’s no UC on those dates but there is Econ and Premium on the 3/4, Econ only on the 2nd
Hi
I think it’s just Virgin’s website being poor. If you search separately it only shows economy and premium economy coming back.
Weirdly their website shows all classes if you search in economy but not the other way round.
So do the search again for economy (I assume you’re searching upper class) and that should show you what is actually available in all classes.
If that isn’t your issue then I’m out of ideas.

Thanks their website is shocking. I searched for UC using cash then view the points calendar that shows availability 85k miles plus tax. I’ll try to do it the way you suggest. Thanks.
I have had huge problems trying to book KLM redemptions – in the two years since this partnership launched I’ve never been able to complete a booking. Always told ‘the flight sold out whilst you were booking’ which is untrue.
Looking at KLMs own availability for those days, however, I am guessing it is fake availability showing on Virgin rather than an inability to book.
If anyone has ever booked a KLM flight let me know! Couldn’t even get City to AMS to work last weekend.
In this case SeatSpy doesn’t help much either — it shows all the availability for FlyingBlue members, regardless of the number of points required. Many routes are available every day — but at an eye-watering rate of miles. It would be handy if they could show only the ‘standard’ redemption seats, which might be bookable via a partner like Virgin, or a FB member not wishing to waste miles.

I’ve managed to book BHX-CDG online via Virgin miles a couple of weeks ago (after a couple of tries) but needed to call to get the return to go through (booked as two one ways as different start/ends).
EDIT: Ignore this! Just realised that you were referring to KLM and this is an AirFrance flight.
