How long does it take for the Priority Pass cards to show up after signing up for the Platinum card?
It took me a few days to get it after getting the Gold card. I don’t think you’ll have to wait that long.
You can phone Amex and they’ll give you the info you need to set up the app meanwhile, a grwat number of lounges are fine with just app

I’m not in any rush to receive my PP card but I received my Platinum card a week ago and still no sign of PP. How long is it taking most to receive theirs?
I received the PP cards 20 days from upgrading (from gold).
Mine finally arrived, 19 days after upgrading.

I’ve had mail from other providers come in 2-3 weeks late but some from the same provider come in within days.
Mine took under two weeks, my supplementary card holder is still waiting despite two requests in two months.
On a slightly different note, is it possible to use the PP before your Amex (plat) arrives? I.e call up for the pp card details and then get in? They usually have to swipe your Amex so I’m guessing no…and unlike some providers I don’t think you can add Amex to Apple Pay before the card itself lands

I’ve just applied for Platinum with the new bonus. The confirming email arrived from Amex at 10:42 on Thursday. At 11:46 I received an email from Priority Pass with the details to open a digital account.

If Amex already activated the benefit with PP, perhaps they can get the details for you. Then just set up the PP app.
Btw in umpteen years, well over 25 for sure, I’ve never been asked to show my Amex card when using PP for lounge entry. But within PP’s system they have my Amex details for billing, i.e. for if I were to invite more guests in than the lounge limit, it varies by lounge, some happily ignore their own rules and don’t charge.
Thanks both. In the end I decided to hold off as I want to hit my £15k on BAPP before taking on the Amex Plat. In the past I’ve had the Barclaycard dragon pass to fall back on but downgraded that to standard recently as couldn’t really justify the £20 extra every month. I’ll just have to manage in the terminal tomorrow!
