Do I keep my 50% Avios discount if I rebook on a new route?

I have an avios booking using a 241 voucher and the 50% reduction in avios required in their promotion in 2020. That booking was cancelled by BA due to flight cancellation, and they have kept the booking open for future travel on same route. I now know I won’t be using the same route, so should I cancel and convert to a FTV before year end, or am I able to change the destination on the preserved booking without losing the 241 during the course of next year? Thanks for any advice.

Have tried getting through to BA on this, but no luck. Still not sure if I’ll lost the 241 when changing route next year.
