I don’t want to be picky but just to proove I do know what I’m doing 🙂
@Rob I think you and the team are doing a great job so don’t take OP to heart and just keep doing what you’re doing. Sadly I feel compelled to point out that an extra “o” has snuck (to use an Americanism) into prove 😉Welcome @Pauly1976.
Yup some of these things do grate over the years particularly some of the Americanisms – but we eat better here than at most places and I generally avoid criticising someone who’s invited me for dinner.
What would be really useful would be if you would comsider starting a thread where we could ask you questions about how cabin service works. As someone suggested above.
Such as do cabin crew like to be summoned by a passenger pressing the button, or should we walk to the galley.
Or how do things work for choice of meals to run out early.
Or which special meals are generally decent, or not.
Or could more availability of pre-choosing meals, such as on other airlines, work on BA and if not what are the barriers BA has to make this available that other airlines don’t face.
If you couldn’t comment on some particular issues we’d understand but would you comsider it ?
I like this, @LL. My own question would be – do BA cabin crew really not know that dessert and cheese are 2 separate courses, or are they instructed by their overlords to try and dissuade passengers from having both, as part of their cost cutting measures?
*Of course this doesn’t apply to the new brunch menu where the cheese is now apparently a main course.
So one ‘advantage’ of the new Brunch menu is that you can have cheese followed by dessert?
Well, followed by a chocolate chip cookie.
*English graduate clearly didn’t tell BA we call them biscuits in this country!
“spritits” is a slightly unfortunate typo in the China Airlines lounge review (which also has Taipei spelt incorrectly in the headline).

Fixed!
If I could laugh react to some of these comments I would…
Fair to say some hilarious responses. Rob your first comment really made me laugh
This may be another one-post wonder, but a bit of a strange one criticising Rob and co, instead of the usual “Amex have cancelled all my cards” type ones we see so often! The irony being, that their own post was not well written.
Funny thing is, the OP’s gripe is more at the ‘poor’ English, rather than the journalism.
Just as an aside, one minor thing I would say, is that I was a little surprised by the recent Virgin article about Brussels, I felt the headline was a little clickbait-y, given that it’s a cargo route, and therefore can’t be booked. I don’t think that’s HfP’s style, so was surprised.

Agree, while the article was of general interest as noted in the comments, perhaps the title could have added a “(for cargo”) or something along that line
Having just spent a solid couple of hours proof-reading a trip report which will undoubtedly still have many mistakes, I have to say that the overall level of “journalism” is impressively high given the volume of posts and Rob’s limited staff.
Oh – trip report. Ether. Again. It will probably appear on Monday.

Oh ye of little faith ….!
I think this must just be a variant on a ‘Amex has cancelled all my cards, can you tell me why?’ type post, They must have got bored with the usual old spiel.
But if you are still about OP can you explain why the flight attendant on our last flight insisted on topping up my OH’s champagne when he twice said (or is it said twice?) that he had over an hours drive to make, so didn’t want it.
Off to read Froggee’s holiday post.

I doubt we’ll ever hear from them again. Shame 🤷

Yes we have probably frightened them off.
@Rob – thanks for all the great work and wonderful content you and your team provide. I have found the HfP site to be so informative and the contributions from you and all of the kind people who help people’s queries outstanding.
@Pauly1976 – why are you working as BA Cabin Crew after graduating in English? Just, one piece of advice, if you post anything with typos or grammatical errors, you quickly lose credibility.@Pauly1976 I expect you are actually being serious as you are 5 calendar months away from April Fools’ Day. But, to quote the wordsmith otherwise known as John McEnroe, “You cannot be serious!”
HfP is an excellent website which provides people a large volume of hints, tips and ways to make all of our travel much more pleasurable for the price we are willing to pay. Without which, a number of readers would not be using BA which provides you with your employment.
On the other hand, BA manage to make a large number of readers here rather disappointed in many ways (not even including the shambles that is the new brunch and supper menus) which is far worse than a spelling error, or a missing comma on an irregular basis. Therefore, please raise all the BA issues mentioned on this forum, plus those called out by @Rob and @Rhys to senior management (or is that Senior Management) and allow everyone to travel like human beings rather than numbers on a spreadsheet.
The OP has apparently been reading HfP for a few years yet has only just joined now.
I really don’t see them “helping” with any sort of query or giving feedback to management now.
BA Management is well aware of the likes of HfP and Flyer Talk yet doesn’t engage with either in any meaningful way. It’s also clear they don’t really take onboard any of the complaints sent in directly by customers. They aren’t suddenly going to take heed of one member of cabin crew.
I agree, the OP has no interest in helping the folks using this site which is why I sarcastically suggested it early on.
I have occasionally spotted errors too, but what is to be gained by pointing them out? I’m sure I’ve posted with errors too.
I’ve gained a huge amount from this site and the negativity that occasionally creeps in baffles me.
Perhaps the OP would be best suited to starting their own site Head for Pedants perhaps ?I agree, the OP has no interest in helping the folks using this site which is why I sarcastically suggested it early on.
I have occasionally spotted errors too, but what is to be gained by pointing them out?If the first couple of comments on an article point out minor typos, allowing them to be corrected, I’ve always seen that as regular readers being helpful in polishing up the article library – same as articles often get minor tweaks or further edits from the goldmine of information in the comments.

Frankly, I’m a bit peeved that no-one pointed out the misspelling of Taipei in an article headline until it was flagged above!
This has a name, I forgot, when people read the brain does a lot of auto-correct. Hence typng errors that people don’t even notiec.

I once did some work on breast screening improvement.
I once sent a email out with it as “beast screening” in the subject line.
Neither I, my manager or my director spotted it.
Took a while to realise even after a few jocular replies that said “yes breast cancer is a beast”
