I have some points due to expire in mid-December.
I’ve tried a Amex Reward transfer to extend the expiry date, as I’m 99% sure has worked in the past and the Hfp article would suggest is an option.
However, points have arrived from the transfer and the expiry date hasn’t changed.
Could be that this route no longer works for point expiry extensions?
Does anyone have any recent experiences/data points on this?
Well not recent but I transferred 400 MR points in July and that certainly worked. I’m good until July 2025.
The Bonvoy Ts&Cs as of November 2023 say this method should still be valid.
How long since you transferred?
It’s been 24 hours. I left it overnight to see if it updated.
Speak to a Bonvoy CS. If you have transferred points from the same Amex account, its usually quick. Otherwise takes a couple of days.
What other cheap methods would anyone recommend? My wife’s in the same boat and we are on a break from MR earning cards.
Pay $12.50 to buy some, transfer some out to a frequent flyer scheme or have your Mrs transfer all her points to you apparently.
And I totally didn’t refer to this article:

If you have a Visa card and you are comfortable with the T&Cs, you can link it to the earn as you dine programme.
