Lounge options – LHR T2 (Plaza Premium) extra guest?

Hi,

I’m travelling with the family in a few weeks from LHR T2. There’s 5 of us and I’m looking at Lounge options.

I have an Amex Platinum, one of the family is the supplementary Platinum holder and I also have another Amex Gold Credit.

My flight is at 22:05 and the only option I can see is the Plaza Premium which will let me in with the Platinum Amex (closes at 9pm).

Is each Amex Platinum holder able to bring 1 guest – the same as with Priority Pass? So I’d have 4 passes is in total?

Are there any other options for lounges that I could get to in the airport and is there any way of getting a 5th pass? Maybe through Priority Pass or a perk of the extra Amex Gold Credit I have?

Failing all that, would it be possible to pay for the 5th guest or is that not an option like it is with Priority Pass for an extra £20?

Yes, you’ll get two in per Amex Plat.

Good question re 5th person. I don’t know if Amex has a discounted rate when you bring an extra guest or not.

Thanks Rob. I can’t seem to find anything about a discounted rate for extra guests online.

I am seeing some references of Cardholder + 2 guests per Amex Plat in Plaza Premium Lounges but I’m assuming this is a US perk?
