Platinum: Will the Amex fee count towards the £6k spend?

Hi, does the £575 AMEX fee count towards the required £6k spend on the AMEX PLatinum to get the bonus points.

Also, am I right to assume that any credits (i.e. the dining credit) will not take away from the original dining expenditure in terms of counting towards the £6k spend requirement right?

No, fee doesn’t count as it’s not classed as a purchase.

@archangelsupreme You are correct the credit from any offer does not count against you when counting towards a spend target. Only the underlying spend counts, credits from offers (like the annual fee) are ignored.
