Any recommendations or places to avoid? Doesn’t seem to be many options in Midtown NY and the DC options located in Navy Yard.

Pizza place at DC navy yard is family friendly which makes a nice change – ie not fine dining and plenty for your money. We went in December and managed to eat there twice from the (then) £150 credit.

Quality Italian and Quality Meats in New York – despite the names sounding like a food truck at a festival, both really good.

I went to Sylvias in Harlem as I’d never been to the area and it was a great experience. It’s a very casual place but the food was excellent. Be warned if your a solo diner that £100 goes a very long way there, something which can’t be said of many places in NYC these days. Although the £ has rebounded a bit since I went back in Jan.
