If you canx the charge card , how long does it take for the pro rata annual fee refund take to be posted back to you ?

Also do you still keep Marriott and Hilton gold status or do they notify them and then downgrade you ?

I’m up to 7 weeks so far with multiple chases and escalation. Hopefully it will hit the bank account in the next week

I believe this is an unusual case, I’ve never had this level of delay before

If you have other Amex cards then they can transfer the pro rata annual fee to one of them. usually within 48 hrs.

If not then they refund the bank account within 2-3 days. IME.

You keep the status of the Hotels.

The only thing that terminates immediately is Priority club pass.
